Jordan Ayew, a striker for Ghana, has declared that he will always give the Black Stars his best effort, even if it means playing out of position.

Although the 32-year-old has received a lot of criticism for his performances while wearing a Ghanaian shirt, he has excelled in his nation’s previous two World Cup qualifying games.

Last Thursday, Ghana beat Mali 2-1 in Bamako thanks to a goal from Ayew, who came off the bench. In the Black Stars’ 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic (CAR) on Monday, he also scored an incredible hat-trick.

Following the match, which was his 104th Ghanaian cap, the Crystal Palace forward stated that his preferred position is number nine.

However, he quickly added that he will always be willing to play anyplace without grumbling and make sacrifices.

“For a while now, I’ve been playing out of position for both the national team and the clubs. However, because I always give my all, I have always fulfilled my obligations, prioritized my nation, and never voiced any complaints,” Ayew stated.

It’s challenging. Although I don’t like to discuss it, playing number nine has always been my favorite position for the French national team, starting in the academy.

“But I understand because I have qualities that allow me to play in the pockets of spaces, and I don’t complain.”

With 28 goals to his credit, Ayew is currently the sixth-highest scorer in Ghanaian history, behind Abdul Razak, Tony Yeboah, Abedik Ayew Pele, Kwasi Owusu, Edward Acquah, and Asamoah Gyan.
