Passion: What propels excellence

The apartment was naturally dusty because the young guys had been hired to paint it after it had been vacant for four months or so.

Dust had built on the fans in every room, to the point where one white fan had turned crimson. There were corner lights in the rooms, and dust was clearly reddening the tops of the yellow lights. The owner was horrified to discover, when examining the painting, that the young men had, in accordance with the contract, only painted the walls. But rather than the newly painted walls, the first thing one noticed upon entering any room was the filthy fan. It was as conspicuous as a sore thumb. The owner was perplexed as to why the painters abandoned their excellent work in the face of such an unpleasant sight, and he blamed their lack of enthusiasm.

Any task, no matter how challenging, is approached by a motivated worker with a high degree of professional excitement that motivates diligence. The employee is driven toward performance excellence by this mix of zeal and hard work. Such a worker diligently manages any extra jobs that could improve the value of the work rather than limiting oneself to the task that has been allocated. In a similar vein, any problem that could lower the work’s caliber or appearance is quickly fixed.Without being asked, a driven employee goes above and beyond the call of duty, taking the initiative to offer fresh concepts or put in more effort to get superior outcomes. They put the client’s interest and comfort ahead of their own financial benefit. An enthusiastic employee adopts a You-Attitude that wins over customers and keeps the firm going by focusing on satisfying them rather than themselves.By leaving the fans in the same filthy condition as when they found them, the young painters in question showed a lack of enthusiasm.

Had they been fervent, they would have recognized that the filthy fans took away from the painting’s visual impact. In order to improve the overall appearance, they would have cleaned the fans.

They would have felt a true feeling of accomplishment in this lovely setting, which would have demonstrated their expertise and competence. Most significantly, they would have gained the client’s loyalty and respect, which would guarantee further work and perhaps a nice gratuity.Unfortunately, the painters’ professional apathy caused them to sacrifice all of this.

They painted rooms because they were contracted to do so. In the competitive job market, an I-Attitude draws employer and customer dissatisfaction and contempt.

On the other hand, a You-Attitude elevates a worker and increases revenue. The young painters require important work attitude training.

The fact that these painters are presently enrolled in a professional program at a TVET college adds to the client’s anxiety.

It is anticipated that the course would introduce students to the building industry. Entrepreneurship is one of the courses they are reading, and it is supposed to address the moral dilemmas that either make or break businesses.

Either the students are not attentive readers, or the course is not pragmatically planned. In any case, because the scenario is not unique, the course is failing to meet its goal.

The young people always exhibit concerning levels of aversion to hard work, which paves the way for future career success. People who say they study are not interested in learning. Attending lectures can occasionally be a significant challenge for individuals.

Every learning or academic task is tedious. Even the best teachers might get demotivated by the attitude they exhibit in the classroom. The latter is motivated to persevere in the classroom by passion.
Tragically, the situation is the same in the unorganized sector.

The same degrees of disinterest in learning new skills and knowledge are shown by young people who choose apprenticeship. Numerous apprentices fail to finish their apprenticeship, according to research.

They leave the apprenticeship and start working independently as soon as they can complete some duties. They merely provide subpar service while charging less to draw customers. To their own detriment, customers use these low-cost services.

Undertrained artisans are an issue in several industries, including construction, transportation, dressmaking, hairdressing, and automobiles, to name just five.Permeable knowledge and skill growth within the working and learning population is highly valued by Ghanaian society as a whole.

Because indifferent employees undermine quality, customers do not get value for their money. In the worst situations, personnel who are illiterate, self-centered, and greedy provide subpar service that results in the loss of human lives.

Passion for mankind is the best remedy for ignorance, greed, and self-centeredness. Emotional intelligence, which is essentially derived from values instilled in children from birth, can be used to gain the value.

Instilling human values in children is largely the responsibility of parents. There are many subtle methods that parents can assist their children develop values like self-respect, respect for others, hard work, responsibility, and balance.

Children who are raised with these values become assertive adults who balance their responsibilities to others and to themselves. Such people are passionate about doing good deeds, being excellent, and helping people.

Their desire to perform is driven by their passion, which results in real success and respect from the community. They flourish. They are what Ghana needs.
